Green Gate Collection
I love Cath Kidston but today I came across another brand called Green Gate on another lovely log they have so many lovely floral prints in so many ranges. I fell in love with these ceramic spoons they are so pretty at last I have found something to go with my cake side plates. I had to have these to add to my collection.

Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie and Oreo Fudge Brownie Bar
Today i did a spot of baking and came across these on Twitter "The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie and Oreo Fudge Brownie Bar" what a mouthful. Although I ended up with more of a cookie dough base they still turned out moist and very scrumptious. I think a large scooping of ice cream would compliment these little beauties.
A cookie dough base with a layer of Oreo's then topped with a chocolate fudge brownie mix.
Recipe
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) milk chocolate chips
1 pkg Double Stuffed Oreo's
1 Family Size (9×13) Brownie mix
1/4 cup hot fudge topping
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) milk chocolate chips
1 pkg Double Stuffed Oreo's
1 Family Size (9×13) Brownie mix
1/4 cup hot fudge topping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the butter and both sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3-5 minutes. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well to thoroughly combine. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt, then slowly incorporate into the mixer until the flour is just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread the cookie dough in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish that’s been lined with wax paper and sprayed with cooking spray. Top with a layer of Oreos. Mix together brownie mix, adding an optional 1/4 cup of hot fudge topping to the mix. Pour the brownie batter over the cookie dough and Oreos. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 15-25 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting — brownies may still be gooey in the middle when still warm, but will set up perfectly once cooled. Enjoy!!
Special thanks to Kevin & Amanda for creating this recipe

Slip cover for foot stool
Here is the slip cover that I made for my sofa foot stool I used up some fabric that I bought last year. This is the first time I have ever made anything like this and really pleased with the way it has turned out. I added a few extra pieces to spice it up a bit, the lace trim puts a feminine touch this cover. If anyone is interested in how I made this please ask.
I think it works really well with the floral sofa covers that i bought gives it a shabby chic Cath Kidston feel.
Believe it or not this was really easy to make.

"Mirror, mirror upon the wall, Who is the fairest of all?"
So this week I have been sifting through all of my mirrors and decided to hang this one on the wall, it isn't as big as I wanted it to be but I am trying to find a home for all my beautiful junk. I decided to put all of my other pieces on Gumtree as there really isn't any room to store everything. I am one of those people who see's something buys it and then see's something else and then cant part with my previous purchase. This mirror came free from a huge UK store it was a gesture of good will as we had ordered a wardrobe which took 6 months to arrive. It seems I have bad luck with on-line purchasing, I am not complaining though as this mirror had a £120 price tag and I charmed my way into having it.
A pure example of compulsive buying loveable "Junk" I still have not found a home for all my nooks and crannies at the moment it is all piled into the display cabinet. The cabinet that I have recently bought is still waiting for a makeover I am still contemplating which colour to paint it. Also this week I have made a slip cover for our large Ottoman I have become quite a professional on the sewing machine lately and managed to whip it up in one evening pictures to follow.
